Interests

Movies

I don’t watch a lot of movies. When I do watch movies, I prefer SciFi, Action/Adventure, and I will even tolerate an occasional Romantic Comedy.

Music

I have very eclectic musical tastes ranging from New Age to Contemporary Country to Smooth Jazz.

Clubs, organizations or federations

Former: AANR, TNS, Hill Country Nudists. Not currently active in any organization.

Other

I have a wide variety of interests. I really enjoy photography – especially when a beautiful woman is in the frame. As for other free time activities, I enjoy hiking, mountain biking, photography, travel, staying fit, and reading. I really enjoy the outdoors whether walking along a deserted beach or hiking in the mountains. I enjoy wine tastings and visiting wineries. Wine is so easy to make. Wine =grapes + yeast + time. But the balance is so difficult to get just right. I enjoy a romantic night on the town; but, just as much, I enjoy a wine and cheese picnic on a blanket at the beach or in a high mountain meadow. I attend a Protestant church on a fairly regular basis, but, I am not part of the inner circle.

About me

I am married to my high school sweetheart for over 38 years now. I have two adult married children and three grandchildren. Both of my children (one son, one daughter) have successful careers and marriages; that is, they are not coming back home any time soon. My son and his wife live in the San Francisco area where he works for a globally known consumer electronics company. My daughter and her family live in NW England (as in the United Kingdom), near the Lake District National Park. My daughter and her husband both work in his family’s holiday home business. My wife is a RN by training, but, has not worked full time since our first child was born in our fifth year of marriage. Of late, she has begun a cake baking venture. I help out with the sales at artisan markets and some of the administrlvia. We are having more fun doing this together than anything we have done in a very long time.My full time job is North American IT Project Manager for an international auto parts manufacturer. I have been somewhat geeky most of my life, but definitely not the stereotypical type of geek — I prefer to refer to it as technically inclined. I graduated from a big name Tech school on North Avenue in Atlanta with an engineering degree. I spent some time as a officer in the US Army Corps of Engineers (Captain). I moved into the corporate world after honorable discharge. In the corporate world I have worked for a variety of international companies in jobs primarily related to manufacturing process improvement and automation. I currently hold PE, PMP, and CSSLBB registrations or certifications.
