About me |
We (my wife Brigitte and I) are active in the outdoors – hiking, climbing, rafting, canoeing, skiing. We think of clothing as necessary for protection, warmth, and decoration. But we shed the coverings when none of the above apply. Swim suites are in the list of the most useless item ever foisted on society. We live on a small rural island – 11,000 people on 37 square miles with no stop lights and no “big box” stores – just 20 minutes by ferry from down town Seattle. The shoreline of the island, surrounded by Puget Sound, have miles of empty beaches. We walk from our house (or jog through the forests for exercise) to our favorite coves . The water is bracingly cold year round but our summers are great.
