Surfing the web, I ran across a notice for a clothing optional 5K race.   I run and I’ve run lots of races – 5K’s to marathons. but I never thought about running a 5K naked.   Confronted with the idea, I’m thinking — why not!   But, as the same time, I feel uneasy — it’s outside my comfort zone.    Why is it that we feel uncomfortable being in our natural state?   We shouldn’t feel that way or feel ashamed of our bodies.

Update:

No, I didn’t run the race but I did spend a couple hours at the host site a few weeks later.   It was a great experience and one which I will remember.
